Dr. Lillian Obucina graduated from Northwestern University Dental School in 1988. She completed post-graduate dental training at Northwestern by obtaining a Certificate in Prosthodontics in 1990. Prosthodontics is a branch of dentistry focusing on fixed bridgework, removable dentures and dental implants. After completing her formal education, Dr. Obucina was an Assistant Professor at Northwestern in fixed and removable prosthodontics until 1996. In more recent years, Dr. Obucina has lectured for the American Dental Association on dental ethics and dental practice management.
A Chicago native, Dr. Obucina has owned and operated the general dental practice of Lillian Obucina, D.D.S., P.C. in the Chicago Loop area for close to 20 years.
Her practice offers preventative procedures such as comprehensive tooth and gum examinations, oral cancer screenings, smile evaluations, intro-oral photographs, digital radiographs, routine cleanings, fluoride treatments, desensitizing treatments, and occlusal guards. She offers basic dental procedures such as composite or tooth colored fillings, amalgam fillings, porcelain inlays, porcelain onlays and porcelain crowns. Gold inlays, gold onlays and gold crowns are also available. Major dental procedures include lone standing crown and bridgework, or implant supported crowns and/or implant supported fixed or removable bridgework, partial dentures, overdentures and full dentures.
Dr. Obucina also focuses on enhancing a patient's natural beauty and self confidence with porcelain veneers (Lumineers®) and in-office and at-home tooth whitening (Rembrandt®) treatments.
Dr. Obucina enjoys creating and nurturing long-term loyal patient relationships. She believes that by listening to her patient's concerns and desires regarding their dental and overall health goals she can better meet their dental health needs, and still create many beautiful smiles!
